Spatial Sculptor, Douglas Madaras, designs and builds one-of-a-kind hand-shaped interiors and architectural features. Public Interest Projects has worked with Douglas Madaras on a number of projects including Zambra restaurant, the Orange Peel, the PIP offices and three live-work condos at the Old Penney’s Building. A talented artist, Douglas wanted to make his business, well, more businesslike. Public Interest provided accounting services, interim financing and management assistance. Douglas has done a number of large projects in Asheville, including the Carolina Cinemas, and is now living in Michigan and continuing to make the world more beautiful.
