Coker Building

65-69 Biltmore Avenue

Originally the site of a stable in the early years of downtown Asheville, the Coker Building housed Coker Heating and Cooling for many years until they closed in the 1970’s. The building sat empty until it was renovated by Public Interest Projects in the early 1990’s. Original anchor tenants included downtown favorites, The Asheville Wine Market and Laurey’s Catering. Laurey’s closed after her death in 2014, but long-time managers Emily and Adam Thome re-opened as 67 Biltmore Cafe and Catering and the Coker building continues to be a destination for locals and visitors looking for great food and spirits.
